Norgate Animal Hospital is a veterinary clinic located at 1435 Marine Drive in North Vancouver, BC. The clinic is licensed by the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia and operated by Dr. Paramjit Sidhu, DVM and his son Dr. Gurinder “Danny” Sidhu, DVM.

The Sidhu family has cared for North Shore dog and cat families on Marine Drive since 2009. Norgate stays open until 1 am Monday to Friday and until 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday, holds same-day appointment space every day, and runs digital x-ray, ultrasound, and lab work in-house so most results come back during the visit. The same family team also operates Homer Animal Hospital in downtown Vancouver, giving clients who split time between neighbourhoods a familiar option on either side of the bridge.

Dr. Gurinder "Danny" Sidhu, DVM

Owner and Veterinarian

Dr. Danny Sidhu leads dentistry, orthopedics, soft-tissue surgery, and diagnostic imaging at Norgate. Alongside his father Dr. Paramjit Sidhu, he runs both the Marine Drive clinic and Homer Animal Hospital in downtown Vancouver.

Dr. Paramjit Sidhu earned his veterinary degree from Punjab Agricultural University in 1987 and has practised in Canada ever since. He founded Norgate Animal Hospital with his son Dr. Danny Sidhu and continues to see dogs and cats every day at the Marine Drive clinic.

Norgate Animal Hospital serves dog and cat families across North Vancouver, from Lower Lonsdale and Central Lonsdale through Lynn Valley, Edgemont Village, and Deep Cove. Many West Vancouver clients reach us in minutes via Marine Drive and the Lions Gate Bridge, and our late hours bring in pet owners from Burnaby, the Tri-Cities, and downtown Vancouver after their regular clinic closes. Free street parking is available along Marine Drive directly outside the clinic.

What should I do if my pet has an emergency in North Vancouver?

Call Norgate Animal Hospital at (604) 980-2222 during our clinic hours of Monday to Friday 8 am to 1 am, and Saturday and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm. Our team triages urgent and emergency cases as they arrive and holds same-day appointment space for urgent matters during open hours.

Are you open on Sunday and late on weekdays?

Yes. Norgate is open until 1 am Monday to Friday, and from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday. We are closed on statutory holidays.

Do you serve pet owners from West Vancouver and Lower Lonsdale?

Yes. We see dog and cat families from across the North Shore including West Vancouver, Lower Lonsdale, Central Lonsdale, Lynn Valley, Edgemont, and Deep Cove. Many of our late-evening clients also drive in from Burnaby, the Tri-Cities, and downtown Vancouver.

Do you accept pet insurance?

We work with all major pet insurance providers in Canada. We do not direct-bill insurers, so you pay at the visit and submit the receipt to your provider for reimbursement.

What pets do you see at Norgate?

Norgate is a dog and cat focused clinic. Our team sees dogs and cats every day, all day, for wellness, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, and same-day emergency care.

Is parking available?

Free street parking is available along Marine Drive directly outside the clinic.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept debit, all major credit cards, and cash. Payment is due at the time of service.
